Residential Building Al

This building with a rectangular plan stands on an elevated site on the hill of Pani in Alimos and it is located looking onto the Saronic Gulf.
One of the issues the design had to address was the surroundings. In this case a linear grid was superimposed on the façades to frame and integrate the openings according to the orientation. The grid was designed with inwards inclined surfaces outlying the windows.
Due to the variable dimensions of the windows these prismatic enclaves provide a sculptural texture to the whole façade. All these surfaces are painted white, allowing the sunlight to differentiate the shades on the pyramidal surfaces while offering privacy to the residences from the nearby developments.
The building was designed from the inside out in order to orchestrate the best views the coastline has to offer.

An interior materials palette mixes cool marble finishes and warmer wooden tones, with white wall panels that respond to the prismatic enclaves motifs outside.
The floor-to-ceiling windows, ensure maximum exposure to the sunlight throughout the day and offer stunning views of the horizon and the sea.
